Youth Worship Band Workshop

Need help with your youth band?  We’re designing an event just for you at Huntington University this summer!  Have you ever asked questions like these:

 HU worship team during chapel

How many guitars should I have in the band?

What do I do with the keyboard?

How do I get the drums and bass in sync?

How many vocals should we have?

How can we sound better?

How can we be more effective in leading the group in worship?

We can’t solve all those issues in one event, but with the Worship Band Workshop for Youth Ministries we can get you started on a better path and encourage you on your way.

The Worship Band Workshop is designed a lot like band festivals that are usually held for school ensembles.  Your band will be invited to perform for a panel of experienced music and worship leaders who will evaluate you and offer encouragement and constructive criticism.  You’ll then be led off to the clinic room where one of our professional clinicians will personally work with your band.  When you’re done, you’ll listen to other bands play in the venue.  During the remainder of the day, you’ll be able to attend practical sessions dealing with real issues and techniques that are involved in playing in a worship band, like technique for your instrument, team dynamics, and worship set planning.

The Workshop is a great opportunity for you to get to know other people in bands like yours, work with worship professionals, and become acquainted with the dynamic worship leadership program that Huntington University offers.

We only have space for twelve bands at the workshop and we anticipate that they will fill quickly for this unique event.  Download the registration form for your band and send it in today.  A 50% deposit will hold your spot.  Contact us at bmyers@huntington.edu or 260.369.4318 if you have any questions.
